I Found Treasure On My Camera Today

I found my old camera in a drawer this morning and came across photos I had taken months ago and never uploaded to the computer.  They were so great I just had to share them with you!  This February Richie and I had the opportunity to be apart of the Panther Fan Cruise which traveled to Grand Turk, Jamaica, and the Bahamas.

We went snorkeling in Grand Turk and had the opportunity to touch a huge Barracuda shark while our tour guide fed it.  Looking back, this was probably a bad idea.
We went for an amazing jeep tour in Jamaica.  This was my favorite part of the trip because we were able to see so much and spend the day squished with some of our favorite friends!

I had no idea this is what a nutmeg looks like!
We were all very impressed with ourselves for holding a HUGE spider that our tour guide grabbed from a tree.

Richie and I really LOVE our coffee, so visiting this coffee farm was a highlight!
Life sure looked different in Jamaica.
We were told that most people build their homes over a long period of time when they have the money to do so, almost all the of the houses where we were looked like this.  Always a work in progress.
Our Bahamas stop was very crowded. There were six large cruise ships docked the day we were there.

The Panthers Keep on Winning...

This weekend Richie's cousin came flew in from New Jersey for a visit.  We picked her up on Friday from the airport and stayed up until midnight eating pumpkin pie and visiting with her.  (This may not seem late to you but Richie and I go to bed by 10pm on a typical Friday night.)  Saturday we visited the Latta Plantation in Huntersville, NC.  It was a great way to spend the afternoon because the weather outside was beautiful.  We walked through the old house, which was built in the 1800s and is 80% original, and took a walk around the property where they have outbuilding and farm animals.  Saturday night was filled with girl chat and girly TV shows after Richie went to the hotel.  Sunday we walked uptown for breakfast at Harvest Moon, where we split an order of palmetto cheese omelets and an order of french toast.  It was so YUMMY!  Sunday ended with another Panther win, a great game for Richie, and a trip to the airport to say goodbye.  We had such a great visit and can't wait to head to New York next month to visit her!

This marked the eighth win in a row for the Panthers, a franchise record! Whahoooooooooo....

November According to my Iphone

November was busy and unfortunately I failed to capture most of the fun.  These photos provide a not so great summary of the month, but it's a summary nonetheless.  I hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving!  We sure did! We did a potluck style dinner with most of our closest friends, ate until we were stuffed, watched a bit of football, and chatted until bedtime when we all headed home for the night.  I just finished the last piece of Pumpkin pie last night.

Let's get started shall we?

I started the month off right with a holiday drink from Starbucks because nothing symbolizes the holidays for me like a red Starbucks cup.

I tried authentic Ethiopian food for the first time.  It was really yummy although not using utensils was interesting.  I'm not a huge fan of sticky fingers! The food is served with a sponging bread which you use to scoop up your meal and put it into your mouth.  Richie loved it!
Our Vacuum broke.  I tried unsuccessfully to fix it.
I became obsessed with chandeliers, including this beautiful one which hangs in our friend's kitchen.
My parents came for a visit and the three of us (and our two Yorkies) drove to Ashville to walk through the Biltmore mansion.

Lilly and Bentley were so excited to reunite!  They loved their daily walks together.
While Richie stayed at the hotel Saturday night we watched a Hallmark movie together. (This is my moms absolute favorite holiday season pastime.) Yes, Lilly liked it too.
My poor dad had to suffer through an entire day of SHOPPING!
We all attended the Monday night Panther vs. the Patriots game and celebrated another Panther win!

We celebrated the win at our favorite restaurant, Cowbell, with victory milkshakes even though the game didn't end until after midnight.
We had some beautiful fall weather and lovely sunsets.
After going through two more vacuum disasters this little beauty is now living with us.  It is just right for our little apartment.
Richie and I began the difficult process of picking out wood floor and stain colors for our new home.  We drove 40 minutes to get our hands on these little samples.
We narrowed it down to two colors.
And we ended the month with a lot of baking and a WHOLE LOT of eating!
I'm still practicing my pie skills but I will admit that this little baby tasted AMAZING!!

I promise to be better this month about blogging!

Thank you for checking in!
